Extractions

The number of times that teeth need to be extracted as gone way down in the last 50 years….thankfully. Extracting a tooth is the treatment of last resort. We will advise you on ways of saving your teeth and encourage you to do so. However, when teeth are so badly damaged that saving them is no longer an option then extraction becomes necessary.

Wisdom Teeth Extraction

Today, most of us do not have enough space in our mouths to accommodate 32 teeth. These means the last teeth to come in, the wisdom teeth, are usually crowded out and unable to erupt properly. This can lead to problems later in life. To avoid this, wisdom teeth are often extracted as a precautionary step. Not all patients have wisdom teeth and not all wisdom teeth need to be extracted.
